You are not you and 
I am not I
we are just
blurred versions.
Voices lagging.
expressions dragging.
Freezing up in little
squares and missing
punchlines, nuances.
Each other.

No touching.

No one prefers it.
But you can be sure
our ancestors would have
killed for it.
